- Corporal Thomas Charles Harber, 4th Battalion, The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment). Lived at 31 Home Gardens, Dartford. Died 23-24.10.40, aged 25, when the destroyer HMS Eclipse, on which he was travelling, hit a mine in the Aegean. Commemorated on the Athens Memorial.
