- Sergeant (Pilot) Sidney Owen Hirschfield, 50 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Presumably lived with parents in Bexleyheath but attended Dartford Grammar School 1929-34. Died 5.8.41, aged 20, when his Hampden bomber was shot down during a raid on Karlsruhe. Buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
