- Corporal Walter Raymond Hollman, 2nd Battalion, The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment). His wife lived at Rectory Cottage, Red Street, Southfleet. Died 2.9.42, aged 31, cause unknown. Buried in El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt, and commemorated on the Southfleet Second World War Memorial Plaque.
