- Private Henry John Inward, Royal Army Service Corps. Lived at 17 High Street, Galley Hill (now High Street, Swanscombe). Died 14.8.41, aged 24, said to have been ‘killed in Scotland’ but otherwise cause unknown. Buried in Swanscombe Cemetery.
