- Private Charles Henry Inwood, 2/5th Battalion, The Queen’s Royal Regiment (West Surrey). His parents lived at 5 St George’s Cottages, Longfield. Died 19.1.44, aged 22, of wounds received in Italy. Buried in Minturno War Cemetery, Italy, and commemorated on the Longfield War Memorial.
