- Lieutenant Philip John Amphlett, General List, attached to Special Operations Executive. Lived at Floranthe, Fawkham Avenue, New Barn, Longfield. Died 29.3.45, aged 23, hanged in Flossenbürg Concentration Camp after being captured in France in autumn 1943. Commemorated on the Brookwood 1939-1945 Memorial, Surrey and on the Southfleet Second World War Memorial Plaque.
