- Sergeant (Flight Engineer) Barry Wentworth Jarvis, 622 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Lived at 27 Denver Road, Dartford. Died 8.6.44, aged 24, when his Lancaster bomber was shot down by a German fighter during a raid on Massy-Palaiseau. Buried in Tacoignières Churchyard, Yvelines, France.
