- Private Frederick Arthur Jarvis, 214 Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. He had grown up in Gravesend but, in his absence, his new wife continued to live at her parental home at 286 Watling Street, Stone, Dartford which led to him being listed under Stone in the Greenhithe and Swanscombe British Legion ‘In Remembrance’ list. Died 23.4.43, aged 26, killed in action in southern Tunisia. Buried in Enfidaville War Cemetery, Tunisia.
