- Flight Sergeant Maurice Henry King, 83 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Believed to have lived in Barnehurst but attended Dartford Grammar School 1932-39. Died 26.11.43, aged 22, when his Lancaster bomber crashed during a raid on Berlin. Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
