- Second Engineer Officer Percy Charles Luck, SS Fort Mumford, Merchant Navy. Lived at 74 Havelock Road, Dartford. Died 20.3.43, aged 27, when SS Fort Mumford was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine off the west coast of India. Commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial.
