- Private Edwin Sidney Martin, 5th Battalion, Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regiment. Presumably lived with his parents at 3 Cedar Road (and before that 1 Cedar Road), Dartford, prior to his marriage. Died 24.8.42, aged 25, accidentally killed in North Africa. Buried in El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt. Brother of Albert Thomas Martin who died 3-4.9.42.
