- Pilot Officer Peter Ronald Andrews, 100 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived at 33 Oakfield Lane, Dartford. Died 22.10.43, aged 22, when the Lancaster bomber which he was piloting crashed into the side of a hill in Lincolnshire on its return from a raid on Kassel. Buried in St Michael’s Churchyard, Wilmington, Dartford, and commemorated on the Wilmington War Memorial.
