- Lieutenant (and Quartermaster) Oriel Alfred Augustus Martin, Royal Artillery, attached to 1 Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Royal Indian Artillery. His father lived at 89 East Hill, Dartford, and Alfred had grown up in Dartford and Crayford but his wife gave her address as Ipswich, Suffolk. Died 9.4.42, aged 42, while a Japanese Prisoner of War. Buried in Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore.
