- Sergeant Leonard Cyril Medhurst, Royal Air Force. He had grown up in Dartford and his mother still lived at 1 Waldeck Road but his married address was in Levenshulme, Manchester. Died 28.5.43, aged 34, when his Hudson aircraft stalled on take-off and crashed while heading from Reykjavik to the UK. Buried in Fossvogur Cemetery, Reykjavik, Iceland. Brother of William Thomas Medhurst who died 14.6.44.
