- Private Norman Milburn, 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment). His parents lived at 3 Mildred Close, Dartford. Died 17.2.45, aged 20, killed by a sniper as he entered a house used as a German stronghold. Buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
