- Flying Officer (Pilot) Norman John (‘Mick’) Miller, 2 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. His parents lived in Bexleyheath but he attended Dartford Grammar School 1933-39. Died 26.5.43, aged 20, when his Mustang fighter was one of three which flew into a hillside in fog. Buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
