- Private James Mole, 10th Battalion, The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment). Lived at 21 Winifred Road, Dartford. Died 3.8.41, aged 30, in Torbay Hospital from injuries received near Kingsbridge, Devon, when he jumped from a skidding lorry but was then hit by the same vehicle. Buried in St Paulinus Churchyard, Crayford.
