Introduction: Aircraftman 2nd Class Eric John Ayers, 4 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Attended Dartford Grammar School 1935-39. Died 29.5.40, aged 21, in Dover having been shot and wounded in France. Buried in St Albans (Hatfield Road) Cemetery and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
