- Serjeant David Ovenden, 1st Battalion, Dorsetshire Regiment. His parents lived at Cromwell Villas, Sutton-at-Hone, but his wife gave her address as Cricklewood, Middlesex. Died 30.7.43, aged 30, cause unknown. Buried in Catania War Cemetery, Sicily, and commemorated on the Sutton-at-Hone War Memorial.
