- Leading Aircraftman Frederick George Ovenden, 31 Service Flying Training School, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived at 12 Acacia Road, Dartford. Died 6.12.44, aged 26, when his Anson trainer was lost on a night training flight. Commemorated on the Ottawa Memorial, Ontario, Canada, and on Lyminge War Memorial.
