- Trooper Roland James George Packman, 15th (Scottish) Regiment, Reconnaissance Corps, Royal Armoured Corps. He had grown up in Wilmington, Dartford, and his parents still lived at 23 High Road. Died 17.8.44, aged 21, died of wounds received in Normandy. Buried in Banneville-la-Campagne Cemetery, France, and commemorated on the Wilmington War Memorial.
