- Electrical Artificer 4th Class Stanley George Parris, HM Submarine Regent, Royal Navy. Presumably lived with his parents at 126 Milton Road, Swanscombe. His official date of death is 1.5.43 although this is just the date on which HM Submarine Regent failed to return to her base at Beirut; it is actually believed that the submarine hit a mine or was depth-charged on 18.4.43. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial and on the Roll of Honour at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swanscombe.
