- Stoker 2nd Class Frederick Thomas Bertram Patching, HM Landing Craft Gun (Large) 16, Royal Navy. Presumably lived with his parents at 38 East Hill, Dartford, and previously at 28 The Brent, Dartford. Died 26.4.43, aged 19, when his LCG sank in gale force winds off the Pembrokeshire coast, Wales. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial.
