- Sgt (Wireless Op./Air Gunner) Victor Charles Rudkin Baker, 115 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He had grown up in Dartford and his parents still lived at 79 Hallford Way. Died 26.3.42, aged 19, when his Wellington bomber was shot down over the Netherlands while on a raid on Essen. Buried in Warnsveld (Wichmond) General Cemetery, Netherlands
