- Flying Officer (Air Bomber) Eric John Seager, 195 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived at 12 Moore Road, Swanscombe. Died 12.12.44, aged 20, when his Lancaster bomber was shot down during a raid on Witten, Germany. Buried in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Germany, and commemorated on the Roll of Honour at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swanscombe.
