- Private Henry George Stanes, 7th Battalion, Royal Norfolk Regiment. Lived at 98 Birchwood Road, Wilmington, Dartford. Died 9.7.44, aged 21, cause unknown. Buried in La Delivrande War Cemetery, Douvres, France, and commemorated on the Wilmington War Memorial and on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel. His brother Dennis Bernard Neil Stanes died on 25.4.45.
