Inston - Rolls of Honour for servicemen and civilians connected with Dartford who died as a result of the Second World War

Introduction: Flying Officer John Inston, 106 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived in Eynsford but attended Dartford Grammar School 1926-32 and served his apprenticeship at J & E Hall Ltd, Dartford. Died 30.1.44, aged 27, when his Lancaster bomber crashed into the North Sea. Commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial and on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
