- Private Donald Ernest Thomas, 1st Battalion, Devonshire Regiment. He had grown up in Dartford and his mother still lived at 12 Oakwood Close, Princes Road. Died 24.3.45, aged 23, killed in action in Burma (now Myanmar). Buried in Taukkyan War Cemetery, Myanmar.
