Introduction
Flight Sergeant (Navigator) Gordon William Waller, 76 Operational Training Unit, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He had lived with his parents at 26 Watchgate, Lane End, prior to his marriage after which his new wife gives her address as South Darenth. Died 21.3.44, aged 25, when his Wellington bomber was involved in an accident near Cairo during a cross-country flight at night. Buried in El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt, and commemorated on the Darenth Church Memorial Tablet.
