Introduction: Master Claude Wingfield, SS Audacity, Merchant Navy. Lived at 42 London Road, Greenhithe. Died 1.3.42, aged 51, when SS Audacity hit a mine south of the Humber light vessel. Commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial.
