- Flight Sergeant (Pilot) Robert John (‘Jack’) Neville, 608 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived with his parents at 80 Fulwich Road, Dartford, even after marriage. Died 16.11.41, aged 25, when the Hudson bomber, in which he was the wireless operator/air gunner, flew into high ground in Scotland in bad weather following a patrol of the Norwegian coast. Buried in Watling Street Cemetery, Dartford.
