- Eileen Patricia Ball of 24 Hill Rise, Lanes End, Darenth. Died of wounds in County (West Hill) Hospital, Dartford, on 4.3.43, aged 5, the day after a rogue anti-aircraft shell fell to earth and exploded in her living room. She was the only civilian killed in the Borough of Dartford during the whole of 1942 and 1943. Buried in St Margaret of Antioch Churchyard, Darenth.
