Died of wounds in County (West Hill) Hospital, Dartford, on 6.2.44, aged 33, after having been injured at home on 29.1.44 in a bombing incident while saving his wife and daughter. Buried in Watling Street Cemetery, Dartford, and commemorated on the Civilian War Memorial, Watling Street Cemetery, Dartford.
