- Stoker 2nd Class Robert George Packman, HMS Pintail, Royal Navy. Lived with his parents at 4 Mount Pleasant Road, Dartford, prior to his marriage, and then at 67 Priory Road, Dartford. Died 10.6.41, aged 25, when HMS Pintail was sunk by a mine in the North Sea while on convoy escort duty. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial and on the Wilmington War Memorial.
