Underwood - Rolls of Honour for servicemen and civilians connected with Dartford who died as a result of the Second World War

Introduction: Pilot Officer (Pilot) John Bennett Underwood, 61 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Lived in Barnehurst but attended Dartford Grammar School 1925-34. Died 31.5.42, aged 25, when his Lancaster bomber was shot down during a raid on Cologne. Buried in Rheinberg War Cemetery, Germany, and commemorated on the Dartford Grammar School In Memoriam Panel.
