- Amelia Daisy (‘Millie’) Hart of 38 Watchgate Rise (now Ridgeway), Lanes End, Darenth. Killed while a patient in County (West Hill) Hospital, Dartford, on 6.9.40, aged 18, in a bombing incident which killed 22 patients and two nurses. She was in hospital after having been hit by shrapnel while cycling along Ladywood Road, Darenth. Buried in Watling Street Cemetery, Dartford, and commemorated on the Civilian War Memorial, Watling Street Cemetery, Dartford.
