- Archie Edward Stevens, landlord of The Morning Star public house, 143 Church Road, Swanscombe. Died of wounds in Gravesend and North Kent Hospital, on 10.11.40, aged 38, having been injured the same evening in The Morning Star public house, 143 Church Road, Swanscombe, in a bombing incident which is believed to have killed approximately 27 people. Buried in Swanscombe Cemetery and commemorated on the Roll of Honour at the Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swanscombe.
