- Ordinary Seaman Thomas Stanley Bell, HMS Collingwood, Royal Navy. He had grown up in Dartford and his parents still lived at 42 Waldeck Road. Died 18.6.43, aged 17, one of 33 new recruits killed when a bomb dropped on their dormitory at HMS Collingwood, a shore establishment in Fareham, Hampshire. Buried in Haslar Royal Naval Cemetery, Gosport, Hampshire
