- Flight Sergeant Ronald Charles Bidwell, 58 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. His wife lived at 53 Lowfield Street, Dartford. Died 29.11.44, aged 23, when his Halifax bomber was shot down in the Skagerrak area while on an anti-shipping patrol.
