- Sergeant (Air Bomber) Dennis Frank Brooker, 626 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Lived at 64 Cedar Road, Dartford. Died 24.3.44, aged 21, when his Lancaster bomber was shot down during a bombing raid on Berlin. Buried in Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery, Germany.
