- Lance Corporal Norman Walter Cassey, 1st Special Service Brigade, Royal Corps of Signals. Lived at 57 West Hill Drive, Dartford. Died 11.6.44, aged 38, killed in action in Normandy as a Royal Signals Commando attached to Lord Lovat’s Brigade Headquarters. Buried in Ranville War Cemetery, France.
