Why Work Out:

To stay fit and healthy, you're recommended to get at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity a week, or around 20 to 30 minutes a day. Plus, you should aim to do strengthening and balance exercises at least 2 days a week. Our home workouts are an easy way to help you reach your exercise goals, so give them a go!

Getting exercise doesn't need to be difficult – you don't even need to leave the house! Clear some space in the living room and give our easy 10-minute workouts a go.

Zumba Aerobics:

These fun and friendly classes aim to help you become active for life. Blending Zumba® and Aerobics together, these classes are for you if you want to improve your fitness, lose weight or tone your body.

Kent Adult Education, Dartford:

Do you want to find a new interest, meet new like-minded people and keep fit at the same time? With one of Dartford Adult Education's health, sport and leisure classes you can.

Learn to relax and de-stress with Tai Chi, increase your flexibility with Yoga or have fun with Zumba® and Line Dancing to improve your fitness.

Dartford Adult Education Centre offers a wide range of opportunities to be more active with the well-known course format as well as new schemes such as taster sessions, Pay As You Go classes and their exclusive Club60 online membership scheme for people aged 60 and over - offering benefits such as discounts off future purchases.

Parkrun:

Dartford's parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9am in Central Park. The 5km timed run is free to take part in and is open to runners of all ages and abilities, from beginners to Olympians! Children aged 4-11 must run with a responsible adult.

Runners wishing to take part will need to register in advance on the Dartford park-run website and download a barcode so their run can be timed.

Junior Parkrun:

Dartford's junior parkrun, for children aged 4-14, takes place every Sunday morning in Central Park.

Meet outside the Cafe in the Park at 8.30am for a 9am start. Children can run the 2km on their own or accompanied by an adult.

To be timed for your run, don't forget your barcode! Register on the Dartford junior park-run website.

Outdoor Gym:

The popular outdoor green gym equipment in Central Park is a FREE and accessible way to get more active in a natural environment.

The eight pieces of equipment which includes a cross-trainer, air-skier, and seated leg press will give you an all over workout which will improve your fitness, strength, flexibility and balance. The equipment is designed to cater for all ages and abilities and some items are in pairs so you can socialise and have fun with a friend while exercising.
