Compliance
Formal enforcement action specifies requirements to carry out certain steps to remedy a breach within a specified period. The Council will monitor and seek compliance throughout the specified period.
Prosecution for failing to comply with the terms of a notice will be pursued, usually following a formal taped interview under caution, in accordance with the relevant PACE Codes of Practice, as set out in the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (as amended).
