Waste Presentation Rules

Under Section 46 of The Environmental Protection Act (1990), Dartford Borough Council can require residents to present their household waste in accordance with the following requirements:

Your bins/sacks must be presented at the front boundary of your property closest to the road, no earlier than the evening prior to the scheduled collection day and by 6am on the day of collection.

You must return your bin to your property by midday on the day after collection. For example, if your collection day is Wednesday, you must put your bin back on your property by midday on Thursday.

You must not store your bin on the street. It should be on your property when it is not out for collection.

Your household waste remains the responsibility of the resident until it is collected.
