Side Waste
Our refuse collectors do not accept additional waste bags or loose household items left beside your green wheelie bin. If you do not have a wheelie bin and we already collect your waste in black bags, we will take up to 4 of them per week.
However, we do accept side waste of recycling, providing it is less than 3 translucent sacks or neatly folded cardboard (not including polystyrene). Please ensure that side waste is presented conveniently next to your grey recycling bin and not obstructing the footpath.
Under Section 33 and 87 of the Environmental Protection Act (1990), Dartford Borough Council can take enforcement action against individuals that present unnecessary or excessive side waste.
