Clinical and Medical Waste
The Council operates a free, discreet collection of clinical waste for householders requiring such a service. Orange plastic sacks are provided and/or 5 litre 'sharps' boxes for disposal of hypodermic needles and these are collected weekly on a Friday.
The council cannot collect cytotoxic waste (purple lid sharp boxes), as this should be collected by a home visiting nurse.
